Thank you for your abstracts!
A valued part of the Annual General Meeting and Conference programme is to hear from GYA members.
Lightning Talks – What do you do & why? – Thursday, 2 May 2019, 17:00-18:45
We invite you to submit a brief abstract for a ‘lightning’ talk. The exact length will be determined based on the number of entries, but it will be around 3 minutes per person. The presentation should clearly communicate your research outputs to a broad, interdisciplinary, cross-cultural audience. Your fellow GYA members would love to hear what you study and why. You can use slide(s) to illustrate your talk (if you wish). Communicating research effectively within a limited time is a critical skill young scientists of today needs to master and doing it in <3 minutes is both challenging and rewarding!
The lightening talks will be filmed and added to GYA’s youtube channel. We will open up this event to local high school students, as a form of outreach, and there will be opportunities for interacting with them. If you cannot be present at the AGM, you can submit an abstract, and contribute a (3-minute) video clip by producing it at home and submitting it to the Office (contact .
